The final movie that I’m most looking forward to seeing is Pixar Animation’s Inside Out which will be released on June 19, 2015. I don’t have too much to say about this movie, other than the fact that I feel like it’s been a long time since Pixar has come out with a truly original, novel film like this!
If you think back to past Pixar/Disney films in the last few years, they have either been prequels (Monsters University, Toy Story 3), sequels (Cars 2, Planes 2), spinoffs (Planes), or more Disney movies than Pixar movies (Brave). Inside Out really breaks the mold, and is almost evocative of the excitement that was present when Pixar released Up or WALL-E in 2009 and 2008 respectively.
Besides, who doesn’t feel like they’re of split minds sometimes? Who doesn’t feel like they have little people talking inside their head sometimes trying to work out problems or the many challenges that come with life?
According to IMDb: “After a girl moves to a new home, her emotions are plunged into chaos as they compete for control of her mind.“
